Magmatic Processes of Granitoids in the Hongniu-Hongshan Porphyry-Skarn Copper Deposit, Southern Yidun Terrane, China: Evidence from Mineral Geochemistry

چکیده
The Hongniu-Hongshan porphyry-skarn deposit is located in the southern Yidun terrane Sanjiang Tethyan Metallogenic Domain (STMD). Although its metallogenesis has been well constrained past decade, magmatic processes for granitoids are still poorly understood. Herein, we provide new geochemical data on minerals (plagioclase, amphibole, and clinopyroxene) to get a better insight into these processes. complex zoning patterns of plagioclase phenocrysts indicate magma recharge mixing. Physiochemical estimations that clinopyroxenes were crystallized hotter (919 ± 11 °C) more mafic (FeO: 2.8–4.6 wt.%, MgO: 0.8–1.8 wt.%) magmas deep chamber (18.6 0.9 km) compared with colder (819 29 °C), felsic 0.9–2.2 0.3–0.6 shallow (13.4 1.6 which amphiboles crystallized. Therefore, suggest produced by multistage within upper–middle crust range. In this model, deep-seated recharged reservoir mixed therein. hot may heat sources rejuvenate reservoirs. On basis, further infer ore-forming materials could be pre-concentrated crustal range mobilized Late Cretaceous magmatism terrane.

Stochastic modelling of deep magmatic controls on porphyry copper deposit endowment
Porphyry deposits, our main source of copper and of significant amounts of Mo, Re and Au, form at convergent margins in association with intermediate-felsic magmas. Although it is accepted that copper is transported and precipitated by fluids released by these magmas, the magmatic processes leading to the formation of economic deposits remain elusive. Here we perform Monte Carlo petrological an...

SahebDivan porphyry copper system is located in Alborz-Azarbaijan magmatic zone at northwest Iran. Based on geological surveys, petrographic and geochemical studies, indicated that mineralized stock in this system mainly cosists of granodiorite, diorite and monzonite rocks. These rocks are peraluminous and belong to high-K calc-alkaline and shoshonitic magma series and plotted in the field of I...

The Poplar copper-molybdenum porphyry deposit, 50 kilometres south-southwest of Houston, is centred near 54 degrees 01 minute north and 126 degrees 50 minutes west. The property is accessible from Houston via 80 kilometres of forest access roads along the Morice River, Owen Lake, Tahtsa Reach, and Poplar Lake. The deposit is situated on the northeast shore of Tagetochlain (Poplar) Lake in an ar...
متن کاملA clustering approach for mineral potential mapping: A deposit-scale porphyry copper exploration targeting
This work describes a knowledge-guided clustering approach for mineral potential mapping (MPM), by which the optimum number of clusters is derived form a knowledge-driven methodology through a concentration-area (C-A) multifractal analysis. To implement the proposed approach, a case study at the North Narbaghi region in the Saveh, Markazi province of Iran, was investigated to discover porphyry ...
متن کاملSOME SULFIDE-SILICATE ASSEMBLAGES FROM THE SAR CHESHMEH PORPHYRY COPPER DEPOSIT, KERMAN, IRAN
Studies of three selected sulfide-silicate assemblages from ore samples from the Sar Cheshmeh porphyry copper deposit led to some ore genetic conclusions. The presence of chalcopyrite blebs in the groundmass orthoclase and quartz from the stock suggests liquid immiscibility in a cooling late-magmatic melt. This is in favor of the orthomagmatic model proposed for porphyry copper deposits. Th...
